Data Deletion Instructions
You can delete your Gig History account yourself, or ask us to delete it or to remove the data we received through a third-party sign-in provider.
Updated October 11, 2026
Request deletion by email
Email support@gighistory.com from the email address associated with your Gig History account. Tell us whether you want your entire Gig History account deleted or only the data we received from a sign-in provider removed, and which provider. For data received through Facebook Login, use the subject “Facebook data deletion”.
If you cannot access your account email, contact us for help verifying ownership. We may verify account ownership before processing a request. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or payment details.
We process verified requests promptly and reply when the requested deletion is complete. Removing a provider’s sign-in data disconnects that provider from your Gig History account; you will need another connected sign-in method to keep access.
Delete your account yourself
Sign in to Gig History, open Settings, then Profile, and choose Delete account. Follow the confirmation shown on that screen. Account deletion also removes any sign-in provider identity linked to that account.
Removing Gig History from the connected apps in your sign-in provider’s account settings stops access through that provider. It does not delete data Gig History already holds. To delete that, use the email instructions above or delete your Gig History account.
Retention and exceptions
Deleting your account immediately removes your account and your record, published and private, from our service. Uploaded files are removed shortly after. We also disconnect any calendar you connected and ask our product analytics provider to delete the usage data linked to your account. That provider completes the deletion on its own schedule, which can take some time. Database backups, kept for disaster recovery, are limited to our 10 most recent nightly copies, and each older copy is deleted as a newer one is made. Deleted data normally leaves our backups within about two weeks, but it can take longer if a nightly backup doesn't run. If we ever restore a backup, we delete again any account that was deleted after that backup was made. To do that, we keep a short record of each deleted account: an internal account number and the deletion time, with no name or email. It stays in our database until no backup could still contain the account, and in our server logs as described below. Some information is kept separately and is not removed when you delete your account:
- Billing. Our payment processor keeps its own customer, payment, and invoice records, and we keep billing and accounting records as tax and accounting law requires.
- Server logs. Technical logs can include your account number and network address. They are archived and currently have no set deletion date.
- Session recordings. Masked session recordings of signed-in use, where used, are held by a session-recording provider. They are not linked to your name or email, are not deleted when you delete your account, and expire on that provider's schedule.
Questions about data linked to your account? Email support@gighistory.com from your account email. Deletion cannot remove copies other people already made of material you published.
