Staying signed in

A session cookie keeps you signed in to your desk. Without it you would have to log in on every page. If you choose “Remember me,” a longer-lived cookie stays until you sign out or it expires.

Remembering what you clicked

If you pick a paid plan before logging in, we store that intent for the length of your visit so we can send you to checkout afterwards.

We also remember the referring site and any campaign tags from the first page of your visit, for the length of that visit, so we can record how you found us if you sign up.

Security

The application also sets cookies that protect form submissions and keep a signed-in session from being used by another site. Those cookies are required for the desk to work.

Understanding the site

Optional analytics on public pages loads only if you click Accept. On signed-in account pages, we use analytics tools that may record how you interact with the page, as described in the Account Privacy Notice.

Public pages

A published record does not require a cookie to read or to ask a question. Visitors are never asked to sign in. We record visit and signup-step events, ad click IDs and campaign tags from the link you arrived on, on our servers, and share them with PostHog to measure our ads. This happens whether or not you accept analytics cookies, and these events don't include your IP address, email or name.
